The following steps taken by organizations and governments will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emission which causes global warming:

1. Use of  environment friendly ethanol blended petrol. This also improves the ambient air quality.

2. Usage of  Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), a clean fuel that  reduces vehicular emissions and pollutants  in the transport sector is encouraged.

3. If  petrol and diesel as per Euro-II/III standards are used by vehicles, the damage to the environment is less.

4. Development and usage of green fuel alternatives

a. Hydrogen Energy

b. Bio- fuels

c. Auto LPG.
